Job summary

Ice Miller LLP seeks a mid-level Bankruptcy Associate to join our New York office, handling complex nationwide bankruptcy matters and related litigation. The associate will work with senior attorneys on Chapter 11 cases and restructuring, supporting creditors, debtors, and trustees in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of bankruptcy or restructuring experience, a J.D. from an accredited law school, and a New York bar in good standing, plus permanent US work

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of bankruptcy or restructuring experience in a law firm
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active and in good standing New York state bar
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States
• Experience in Chapter 11 matters and creditor-side representation

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and related filings and participate in substantive court proceedings
• Represent creditors' committees, liquidation trustees, receivers, debtors, landlords, and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on restructuring matters in a fast-paced environment
