Job summary

Ice Miller LLP in New York seeks a mid-level Bankruptcy Associate with 3–5 years of bankruptcy or restructuring experience to join our sophisticated practice handling complex national matters.

The successful candidate will draft pleadings, handle discovery and motions, and work with senior attorneys on Chapter 11 cases for creditors and debtors, with a collaborative, growth-oriented culture and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of bankruptcy or restructuring experience in a law firm
• Experience in Chapter 11 matters and creditor-side representation
• Litigation experience including depositions and courtroom advocacy
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills
• Active and in good standing NY bar; permanent US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Support complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 and out-of-court workouts
• Represent creditors’ committees, liquidations trustees, receivers, debtors, landlords, secured and unsecured creditors
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and related filings; participate in substantive court proceedings
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on restructuring matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
