Job summary

FirstBank seeks a seasoned Relationship Manager to generate and manage consumer, Corporate & Industrial (C&I), and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan and deposit portfolios. You balance loan production with credit quality and minimize risk by adhering to bank policies while strengthening client relationships.

You oversee underwriting, documentation, and asset quality; develop new business via prospecting and centers of influence; guide other RMs and market leaders on C&I relationships; maintain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of specific banking or business development experience; in-market experience preferred.
• National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) Certification within first year of employment

Responsibilities

• Manage an active portfolio of consumer, C&I, and CRE loan relationships meeting sales and growth targets.
• Underwrite loans and prepare documentation; approve within authority or with Credit Officer.
• Monitor asset quality, past due information, collateral exceptions, risk ratings and covenants.
• Develop new business through prospecting and Centers of Influence.
• Provide guidance to Relationship Managers, Financial Center Managers and Market Presidents on C&I relationships.
• Demonstrate knowledge of deposits, loans, Treasury Management, and Capital Markets.
• Monitor lending policy changes and regulations.
• Read, understand and analyze client financial statements to business operations.
• Manage full loan process from preparation to closing and issue resolution.
• Represent FirstBank in community activities and build networks.
• Deliver consistent, distinctive service and adherence to controls.
• Attend regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
