Nationwide is seeking a seasoned AVP, Middle Market Property Underwriting - Commercial to lead technical underwriting across multiple lines including Auto, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Umbrella, Property, and Inland Marine. Qualifications

• 15+ years of Middle Market underwriting experience including 5+ years of management experience.
• Strong leadership and strategic direction capabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of property and casualty products, pricing, and underwriting practices.

Responsabilités

• Develop and communicate strategies for assigned lines of business to drive growth and profitability.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of technical underwriting professionals.
• Collaborate with actuarial, portfolio management, and product leaders to optimize pricing and risk selection.
• Ensure underwriting compliance and adherence to rating plans; respond to regulator requests as needed.
• Represent SME expertise in enterprise-wide initiatives and training.
