Job summary

State of Florida seeks an Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs to lead planning, organization, and monitoring of academic programs and student services across Florida College System institutions. This role reports to the Executive Vice Chancellor and oversees key staff while guiding strategic initiatives based on data and best practices.

The AVC collaborates with multiple offices and boards, advising on transfer, curriculum, tuition, and student welfare, including

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to understand and apply laws, rules and policies relevant to the Florida College System.
• Ability to plan projects and coordinate initiatives with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff support for policy development within the Division.
• Represent the Chancellor at public forums on education issues.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners on academic and student services programs.
• Monitor educational outcomes and labor market data to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with divisions to maximize student achievement and program quality.
• Prepare reports requested by executives and legislators.
