Job summary

South Florida State College in Avon Park, FL seeks a Vice President for Administrative Services, the College's Chief Business Officer. The role provides executive leadership and oversight for business support services, financial planning and analysis, contract review, and facilities planning and construction activities.

Reporting to the President, the VP oversees accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance with GAAP and GASB, risk management, and capital projects.

Qualifications

Master's degree required in business or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of administrative leadership experience.
Specialized training and/or professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides executive leadership and administrative oversight for business support services, financial planning and analysis, contract review, and facilities planning and construction activities.
Oversees financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, investments, and financial reporting.
Manages capital budgets and ensures GAAP and GASB compliance.
Supervises construction functions and negotiates major contracts for the college.
Coordinates and reports on facilities planning processes and space optimization.
Ensures compliance with regulations and presents financial reports to leadership and governing bodies.
Supports institutional planning and effectiveness efforts within administrative supervision.
Assists in monitoring legislative activity for planning purposes.
