Job summary

Volvo Cars seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to manage supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of production materials for the Volvo Cars production plan. You will optimize safety stock, lead times, and inventory levels while maintaining high quality and cost efficiency.

This role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, experience with international and domestic suppliers, and the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive environment with cross-functional MP&L teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years in high-paced supply chain management (preferably automotive).
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, lead times, and risks in the supply chain.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Leadership skills with teamwork and strategic thinking.
  • Experience with international and domestic supplier communications.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and variable schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier setup for all assigned suppliers, including safety stock and packaging to secure production material flow.
  • Maintain MRP parameters to optimize material flow (safety stock, unit loads, reaction times, etc.).
  • Evaluate EDI call-offs and supplier ASN transmissions for accuracy and timely deliveries.
  • Steer and maintain optimal inventory levels and knowledge of material planning processes.
  • Collaborate with MP&L, project teams, and central planning functions.
  • Lead supplier development to improve delivery performance.
