Job summary

Volvo Cars is seeking a Senior Inbound Logistics Engineer to design, implement, and continuously improve inbound transport networks. You will own end‑to‑end performance, driving cost reductions, lead times, and network stability while collaborating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into practical, scalable improvements across changing volumes and sourcing setups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• Experience in logistics engineering, transport optimization, or supply chain design.
• Proven ability to lead complex network changes and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience with transport systems, optimization tools, and data‑driven performance follow‑up.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; proficient in PowerPoint, Power BI, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and lead optimization of inbound and packaging return transport setups.
• Define and optimize transport flows, lead times, and network structures.
• Own core performance drivers: fill rate, utilization, delivery frequency, cost per car.
• Lead implementation of new lanes and supplier relocations with strong execution.
• Drive continuous adjustments to keep the network aligned with volumes.
• Translate analysis and requirements into practical network improvements.
• Lead cross‑functional alignment and influence decisions.
• Own cost reduction through improved design and transport mode strategy.
