Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Productivity Buyer in Texas to improve site competitiveness by reducing materials costs across serial materials and logistics. You will collaborate with Business Group and Group organizations to drive productivity, supplier integration, and budget adherence.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in purchasing, preferably in automotive manufacturing, with SAP experience, and familiarity with electronics or plastics commodities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in purchasing, preferably in automotive manufacturing or another manufacturing environment.
• SAP experience preferable; purchasing experience with electronics or plastics commodities is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivities and reservoir in line with budget requirements.
• Support the commodity organization to reach site negotiation objectives.
• Drive material productivity actions and bring suppliers in line with budget timing.
• Monitor supplier relationships as Key Account Purchasing when not covered by Group commodity organization.
• Implement site-wide materials standards and build the site budget with Site Purchasing Manager.
