Job summary

Valeo North America is seeking a Project Buyer to join the site Purchasing team. You will lead purchasing activities for projects, coordinate with program teams, and manage supplier selections to optimize value and risk across automotive programs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive pre-sourcing, sourcing decisions, and milestones while ensuring alignment with group strategy and project targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar and related field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in purchasing, preferably in automotive manufacturing or in another manufacturing environment.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Purchasing experience with electronics or plastics commodities.
• Experience with autonomous negotiations and costing for components.

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings and lead or support all purchasing activities through project closure.
• Support the Program Manager with a sourcing plan to define mutual commitments and conditions.
• Select supplier bid-list based on segment panels and bundles; collaborate with project and segment teams.
• Identify critical parts and review contingency plans with the program team.
