Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Productivity Buyer in Texas to improve site competitiveness by reducing materials costs across serial materials and logistics. You will collaborate with Business Group and Group organizations to drive productivity, supplier integration, and budget adherence.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in purchasing, preferably in automotive manufacturing, with SAP experience, and familiarity with electronics or plastics commodities.

• Minimum of 4 years experience in purchasing, preferably in automotive manufacturing or another manufacturing environment.
• SAP experience preferable; purchasing experience with electronics or plastics commodities is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivities and reservoir in line with budget requirements.
• Support the commodity organization to reach site negotiation objectives.
• Drive material productivity actions and bring suppliers in line with budget timing.
• Monitor supplier relationships as Key Account Purchasing when not covered by Group commodity organization.
• Implement site-wide materials standards and build the site budget with Site Purchasing Manager.

About the Role:

As a Project Buyer, you w

ill Improve site competitiveness through serial materials cost reductions in liaison with Business Group and Group organization:

Responsibilities Also Include:

• You will define and implement technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivities and reservoir in line with budget requirements, in collaboration with the segment organization
• You will support the commodity organization (Segment Leaders) to reach the site negotiation objectives
• You will drive in front of the MSC material productivity actions and bring suppliers in, in line with budget timing
• You will monitor supplier relationship wherever assigned the role of Key Account Purchasing (KAP) for a given supplier, when not covered by Group commodity organization
• You will implement PG/PL worldwide materials standards in the site(s)
• You will build up the site(s) budgettogether with the Site Purchasing Manager and in liaison with the Segment Leaders
• You will implement mitigation action plan at site level
• You will insure coverage of logistics protocols for all bought out parts
• You will strictly apply the V5000 supplier integration axis standards (internal referential, certifications, procedures, purchasing tools, information systems)

KPI’s:

• Shared: Purchasing index
• Specific: Purchasing Index for commodity under respective scope for technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS levers in respective site(s); supplier rationalization indicator; productivity reservoir; quality incidents

What you should have:

• You should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar and related field.
• You have a minimum of 4yearsexperience in purchasing, preferably in automotive manufacturing or in another manufacturing environment.
• You have SAP experience is preferable
• You have purchasing experience with electronics or plastics commodities is preferable
• You have strategic sourcing / purchasing experience is preferable
