Job summary

Capgemini Engineering, a world leader in engineering services, seeks a senior leader in Detroit to direct automotive engineering engagements and guide delivery across body systems, propulsion, electrification, and vehicle integration.

You will lead Engagement Managers and delivery teams, build trusted client relationships, and ensure exceptional outcomes while driving operational efficiency and growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering delivery programs and managing complex project portfolios within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive and mechanical engineering domains across body systems, propulsion, electrification, and vehicle integration.
• Experience leading delivery model transformations to Managed Services and Fixed Price engagements.
• Proven project and program management with risk, scope, schedule, and budget oversight.
• Ability to lead multicultural, globally distributed teams and drive talent growth.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with portfolio profitability and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage a portfolio of automotive engineering engagements, ensuring successful delivery across domains.
• Lead and mentor Engagement Managers and delivery teams to foster high performance and development.
• Build trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders and align delivery with business objectives.
• Oversee portfolio financial performance, staffing optimization, and global delivery center alignment.
• Facilitate executive business reviews, identify improvements, and drive service excellence.
• Support transition toward Managed Services and outcome-based delivery models.
• Contribute to account growth by shaping value-driven solutions and tailoring offerings.
