Job summary

Commerce Casino seeks an accomplished attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel, reporting to the General Counsel and advising senior leadership on legal strategy and risk management. This role focuses on employment law, privacy, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives essential to growth.

The successful candidate will combine legal expertise with executive presence, broad business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex, multi‑department needs while aligning legal strategy

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active California Bar membership.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible legal experience in-house or top-tier firms.
• Experience advising senior management on privacy, compliance, and corporate matters.
• Ability to counsel across a matrixed organization and manage outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor to HR and business leaders on employment law and risk.
• Lead internal investigations and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance programs.
• Partner with GC to enhance legal operations and scalable processes.
