Job summary

Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino seeks a seasoned General Counsel to oversee legal services across operations, risk management and HR support. You will guide on contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters critical to casino operations in a hospitality setting.

Lead gaming/regulatory compliance, supervise the legal team, and coordinate with external counsel on disputes and investigations. JD from an accredited law school and bar membership required; 12+ years in gaming or hospitality law preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 12 years of legal experience in gaming, hospitality, or regulated entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of contracts including hotel management, service, development, leases and subleases.
• Draft, negotiate confidentiality, vendor, consulting, and license agreements.
• Resolve disputes with vendors, landlords, tenants, lenders, managers and partners.
• Collaborate with HR and outside counsel on litigation matters and disputes.
• Provide preliminary advice on proposed transactions and LOIs.
• Oversee compliance and risk management for Rio Las Vegas.
• Keep President/GM informed of material developments and risks.
