Job summary

University of New England seeks an Associate Director of Employer Relations to lead employer engagement across the campus, coordinating events and partnerships that connect students with internships, jobs, and experiential learning.

The role oversees the Internship Coordinator, collaborates with faculties to align employer involvement with curricula, and develops strategies to expand access to career opportunities. Occasional travel and some evening/weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in employer relations, career services, or workforce development.
• Experience supervising staff or leading collaborative projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national employers.
• Plan and execute employer-focused events like career fairs and on-campus recruiting days.
• Collaborate with the Internships Coordinator to expand internship opportunities.
• Align employer involvement with curricular initiatives and career readiness competencies.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive employer engagement strategy.
• Supervise the Internship Coordinator and provide mentorship and direction.
