Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking an Assistant Manager of Supply Chain to assist with Retail Services operations. You will help implement established methods to satisfy internal and external customer product needs efficiently and timely.

The role involves supervising daily activities, supporting scheduling, training, and performance reviews, and contributing to process improvements while ensuring safety and budget alignment.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience, or 2 years managerial experience.
• Experience in a supervisory role in Transportation, Warehouse, retail and/or production setting.
• Work a minimum of two closing shifts per week and alternate weekends. Additional nights and weekends may be required as business warrants.
• Must have working phone that allows for communication accessibility.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Leading and Developing Talent: input on pay, performance appraisals, work schedules, day-to-day personnel issues, discipline and hiring.
• Project and Change Management: participates in formal projects; helps develop solutions and implement change.
• Problem Solving: oversees staff, resolves basic and moderately complex operational problems.
• Technical Skill: understands subject matter with advanced knowledge and supervisory experience.
• Community Engagement: participates in Goodwill community initiatives and industry groups.
• Implements and maintains consistent methods to address customer product needs.
• Ensures compliance with operating procedures, asset protection, productivity, quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Develops product levels through workflow management and efficient layout.
• Maintains quality control standards and addresses process improvements.
• Protects high-value assets including transportation fleet and equipment.
• Interviews and coaches employees to increase productivity.
• Contributes to monthly reports analyzing trends, costs and action plans.
• Adjusts work plans to meet evolving business needs and forecasts loads with vendors.
