Qualifications

• Experience in collections, repossession, asset recovery, or secured loan servicing with increasing responsibility.
• Ability to manage moderately complex repossession cases with collateral location issues and multi-state compliance.
• Experience with loan modification and extension processing within delegated authority.
• Associate’s degree in business or related field or equivalent combination providing foundational knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process secured loan charge-offs accurately and on time per policies.
• Coordinate repossession and disposition of collateral with licensed agents and auction facilities.
• Maintain thorough documentation of recovery decisions and activities for audits and reporting.
• Communicate with members about delinquency, repayment options, and obligations while protecting the credit union’s interests.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance of recovery activities.
