Job summary

Sunward is seeking an Asset Recovery Specialist to manage post-charge-off and collateral recovery efforts, evaluating charged-off loans for collectability and coordinating repossession activities.

You will work with licensed repossession agents, auction facilities, and vendors to maximize recovery values while ensuring FDCPA, UCC, and state regulations compliance. Hybrid work arrangement may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in collections, repossession, asset recovery, or related areas.
• Experience handling complex repossession cases with multi-state compliance.
• Experience in loan modification and extensions within authority.
• Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Process secured loan charge-offs accurately and on time.
• Review loan history and collateral status to assess collectability.
• Oversee repossession activity and coordinate with agents.
• Maintain thorough documentation of recovery decisions.
• Ensure FDCPA, UCC and state laws compliance.
• Prepare regular post-charge-off reports.
