Job summary

KBX Logistics seeks a Transportation Asset Market Analyst to partner with leadership, using market intelligence, economic analysis, and financial modeling to guide capital allocation in transportation assets. You will translate complex market dynamics into actionable recommendations for growth and risk management across the rail-focused portfolio.

The role sits within the KBX Asset Management team, collaborating with commercial, operations, and finance to optimize asset performance and value

Qualifications

Experience building and interpreting financial models to evaluate asset investments.
Ability to use IRR/NPV/ROCC and related metrics for decision support.
Experience analyzing market dynamics and translating data into recommendations.
Experience using AI tools to improve analytical efficiency and insight generation.
Experience in rail, transportation, logistics, leasing or asset-intensive industries.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain market perspectives across transportation asset markets, with emphasis on rail.
Analyze supply/demand fundamentals, asset utilization, lease-rate movements and macro indicators.
Identify opportunities, threats, and market inflection points affecting asset strategy.
Translate data into actionable insights, market outlooks, and investment theses.
Build financial models supporting acquisitions, leases, and growth initiatives.
Evaluate opportunities using IRR, NPV, ROCC and risk-adjusted returns.
Support underwriting with scenario analysis and downside risk for portfolios.
