Job summary

Interstate Equities Corporation (IEC) is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee the Northern California and Washington portfolio, based in San Francisco or Los Altos with periodic travel to assets. The role partners with the Director of Asset Management to drive value, maximize NOI, and guide acquisitions.

You will lead budgeting, CapEx planning, and performance reviews, coordinate with investment and operations teams, and deliver investor updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in asset management for mid-large real estate organizations.
• Multifamily asset management experience.
• Experience with institutional investors in matrixed organizations.
• Experience in real estate private equity or institutional real estate investment company.
• Strong financial and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Northern California portfolio, with adjustments based on acquisition activity.
• Maximize asset value and NOI by market position and value-add strategies.
• Conduct regular financial reviews of performance vs budget and address variances.
• Develop annual operating and capital expenditure budgets aligned with goals.
• Monitor on-site staff and ensure the operating plan and IEC objectives are met.
• Plan and manage renovation projects, select design teams and vendors.
• Lead asset management process with clear objectives to improve portfolio performance.
• Write quarterly asset management reports for investors and update leadership.
