Job summary

HevenAeroTech in Sterling, VA seeks a Director of Business Development for the U.S. Army to own and grow pursuit strategy across Army customers. You will build a qualified pipeline, shape requirements ahead of solicitations, and convert OTAs and prototypes into programs of record and production contracts.

A demonstrated Army acquisition network is required. The role requires 10+ years in BD or capture, active DoD secret clearance, Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), and willingness to

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development, capture, or program experience supporting U.S. Army customers.
• Track record of driving wins and growing early-stage efforts into programs of record.
• Knowledge of Army acquisition processes and PPBE cycle.
• Existing relationships with Army PEOs or ability to build credibility quickly.
• Active DoD Secret clearance; willingness to obtain higher clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 30-40% CONUS.

Responsibilities

• Own Army BD strategy and pipeline from opportunity identification through award.
• Build a pathway from OTA/prototype efforts into programs of record and milestones.
• Develop relationships with PEO Aviation, PEO Missiles & Space, PEO IEW&S, PEO Soldier.
• Engage budget holders to understand funding lines and timeline milestones.
• Lead or support capture strategy, gate reviews, and customer calls.
• Represent Heven AeroTech at Army days, conferences, and industry events.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product Development, and PM to reflect customer needs.
