Job summary

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Collections Analyst. This role could be based in any of our US office locations and requires strong experience in accounts receivable collections, accounting principles, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Five+ years of related collection experience required.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Proficiency with Excel/MS Word and Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze target accounts receivable items for follow-up with attorneys and clients.
• Develop trusting relationships regarding the billing and collections process with attorneys and office staff.
• Proactively communicate AR status to attorneys, clients and management, and input actions on receivables.
• Facilitate payment of delinquent accounts via calls and emails to determine payment status.
• Establish alternative payment plans when needed and ensure payments are made as agreed.
• Ensure bills conform to clients' billing protocols and relay requests to attorneys.
• Provide backup to client requests and assist with reconciling client accounts.
• Update and maintain client AR files in Expert Collections.
• Provide training on Expert Collections to billing and collections teams.
• Monitor daily cash receipts and handle special projects.
