Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Strategic Operations Analyst to join our team, turning complex operational data into actionable insights that drive decisions across the organization.

You will model capacity, analyze variances, and build tools that scale decision-making, partnering with finance, operations, and analytics. You’ll develop dashboards and lightweight automation using Google Apps Script and AI workflows, with exposure to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in management consulting, finance, strategic planning, business analytics, or an operational analyst role.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets modeling skills; able to build accurate, scalable models from scratch.
• Hands-on experience building tools with Google Apps Script, AI-assisted coding, or similar; able to assess options and recommend the best-fit solution for the problem
• Strong analytical skills; able to structure ambiguous problems, work with complex datasets, and extract actionable insights
• High standard for accuracy and rigor, with the ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to turn data into clear, compelling stories for senior leadership in Google Slides
• Self-starter who takes ownership, brings ideas forward, and is eager to learn and grow through feedback

Responsibilities

• Own the analysis leadership relies on: monitor KPI trends, diagnose operating variances, and conduct root cause analyses that drive action
• Build and maintain operational and financial models, such as capacity, throughput, staffing, and scenario planning, to inform business strategy and evaluate new initiatives
• Turn complex data into clear, concise insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-ready materials
