Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking a strategic Director, Supplemental & Group Analytics to lead analytics and BI initiatives that transform data into business action. You will lead a team of analysts and partner with Supplemental & Group leaders to uncover performance drivers, define KPIs, and deliver insights that shape strategy, operations, and customer experience.

As a key bridge between business and enterprise Data and Technology, you will ensure data reliability and accessibility to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
• 6–8 years of progressive analytics, BI, finance, or operations experience.
• Experience leading analysts and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong ability to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations.
• Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and improving operations.
• Knowledge of finance, operations, and process management.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse or data initiatives.
• Strong communication, collaboration, project leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics initiatives supporting Supplemental & Group priorities with actionable insights.
• Oversee deep-dive analyses to identify trends, risks, and performance drivers.
• Translate findings into clear business recommendations for decisions.
• Partner with leadership to execute analytics strategy and prioritize initiatives.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, reports, and BI solutions.
• Lead analytics team, coach analysts, manage priorities.
• Collaborate with Data and Technology teams on data warehousing and governance.
• Ensure data quality, definitions, validation, and adoption.
