Job summary

You will perform financial modeling, market research, and due diligence to identify growth opportunities, transactions, and strategic partnerships, reporting to the Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in equity research, corporate development, M&A consulting/advisory, public equities investing, investment banking, or related analytical role (life sciences experience preferred).
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate financial, commercial, and clinical concepts into clear messages for stakeholders and capital markets.
• High attention to detail; ability to absorb information and manage multiple workstreams under deadline pressure.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Diego, CA office five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support evaluation of potential partnerships, licensing deals, and M&A opportunities, including market research, financial modeling, and due diligence.
• Identify opportunities for corporate growth both commercially and clinically, and build business cases and valuation analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Learn and monitor the diabetes technology and therapeutics landscape, including industry trends, competitor activity, and the M&A landscape.
• Support preparation of earnings materials, investor presentations and events, and quarterly reports.
• Monitor sell-side analyst models, consensus estimates, and peer/competitor performance.
• Participate in analyst and investor meetings and conferences (some travel required).
• Maintain investor website content, shareholder databases, and distribution lists.
• Partner with Clinical Operations to execute on clinical trials growth initiatives.
• Support partnerships with clinical research institutions and vendors for trials.
