Job summary

Bank of America’s SSFO Data Strategy and Analytics team seeks a highly technical Consumer Product Strategic Analyst IV to support advanced analytics and reporting initiatives for consumer products such as credit cards. You will drive portfolio risk, profitability and performance forecasting through end‑to‑end analytic workstreams and partner with Risk, Product and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of financial industry experience
• 2+ years of experience using SAS or SQL
• Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Strong communication skills, including ability to translate complex technical concepts into executive‑level insights
• Understanding of workflow, SLAs, and operational performance metrics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in workforce optimization
• Experience partnering with FLU and cross‑functional teams
• Strong attention to detail with ability to tell a clear story with data
• Strong critical thinking
• Advanced Technical Skills: SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, PowerQuery, Data visualization, and more

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced analytics on financial, market, and portfolio data to identify opportunities to improve risk, profitability, and operational performance
• Owns end‑to‑end analytical workstreams, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for business partners and senior leadership
• Identifies and communicates key trends based on economic conditions and portfolio performance, enabling proactive decision‑making
• Partners with cross‑functional teams, including Risk, Product, and Operations, to support and influence strategic initiatives and large‑scale programs
• Develops scalable reporting and analytics solutions to support performance monitoring, forecasting, and operational execution
• Mentors and provides technical guidance to peers, serving as a subject matter expert across multiple business and technical domains
• Exhibits leadership presence and critical thinking, effectively communicating solutions, influencing stakeholders while driving scalable, continuous improvement opportunities across SSFO organization
