Job summary

Celonis is seeking an Applied AI Engineer in Redwood City to drive AI-enabled value for strategic customers. The role combines solution design, prototype development, and ROI-focused deployments on the Celonis PI Platform with leading AI partners like OpenAI and Microsoft.

You will prototype and demonstrate AI value, work with executives, and ensure adoption and measurable impact from AI deployments at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading technical pre-sales, including defining AI roadmaps, building compelling ROI/TCO business cases and prototyping of machine learning and generative AI solutions.
• Understanding of generative AI techniques like RAG, few shot learning, prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, multimodal understanding, or fine-tuning for high-impact use cases.
• Knowledge of business processes across sectors (e.g. Supply Chain, Finance) and translating needs into AI use cases.
• Strong Python and ML library skills (LangChain, pandas, pydantic, sklearn, PyTorch) and data engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• AI Discovery & Solutioning: translate customer AI strategy into innovative solutions.
• Hackathons & Prototyping: build prototypes and solve complex problems in customer hackathons.
• Agentic Process Transformation: enable ROI with autonomous AI agents connected to the Celonis PI Platform.
• Proof projects: end-to-end PV projects with architecture and secure, scalable LLM/agent systems.
• Ensure Successful Project Outcome: stay involved until value & adoption thresholds are reached.
• Specialize in Domains/Industries to scale knowledge across the organization.
