Job summary

FairSquare is a technology-driven financial services company seeking a Chief Information & AI Officer to lead our technology organization. You will own software engineering, data, infrastructure, security and IT, and determine which AI tasks can be automated, drafted with accountability, or kept under human control to satisfy regulators and partners.

You will build an operating model, guardrails, and an evidence-based approach, aligning AI use with business goals and regulatory expectations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master or PhD preferred in AI/ML.
• 10+ years in technology roles with hands-on AI/ML/data science exposure; 5+ years leading people.
• Track record owning budgets and business planning at scale; delivering on commitments.
• Strategic ability to set direction across technology and AI domains and act with urgency.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, mobile applications and generative AI in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Set the technology and AI strategy for the enterprise, aligned to key goals and outcomes.
• Lead AI Center of Excellence with shared tooling and playbooks across the business.
• Prioritize AI use cases with a risk-tiered framework and determine human oversight needs.
• Build governance including model risk, data protection, quality assurance, fair lending and regulatory compliance.
• Own end-to-end system infrastructure, security, and the platforms AI depends on.
• Define and report measures like adoption, accuracy, ROI and cycle time to leadership.
• Collaborate across functions to deploy technology and AI for profitable, responsible use.
• Develop and retain a distributed technical team and coordinate with HR on AI fluency and reskilling.
