Job summary

FairSquare is seeking a Chief Information & AI Officer to unite technology, data, AI and IT across the enterprise. You will set the AI strategy, own budgets, and shape governance to balance innovation with risk and compliance.

In a hybrid role, you will lead a distributed team, collaborate with executives, and report to the President. You will build scalable platforms and ensure accountable AI stewardship across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science or related field.
• Master's or PhD in AI/ML preferred.
• 10+ years in technology roles with 5+ years leading people.
• Experience owning budgets and strategic planning at scale.
• Experience with cloud platforms, AI governance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the enterprise technology and AI strategy.
• Deploy AI technologies that create competitive advantage; assess what should be automated vs human-led.
• Lead AI Center of Excellence with shared tooling and playbooks.
• Prioritize AI use cases with a risk-based framework; balance automation and human oversight.
• Build governance for model risk, data protection, QA, fair lending and explainability.
• Own end-to-end infrastructure: functionality, resilience, security.
• Define metrics and report outcomes to President and Board.
• Collaborate across functions to turn technology into business value.
• Coach and develop a distributed software/data/AI/IT team.
• Lead in line with policy, planning, directing work and performance rewards.
