Job summary

MITRE in Tampa, FL seeks an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design, deploy, and operationalize AI/ML capabilities for DoD/IC sponsors. You will develop production-quality software, apply data science, and transition prototypes into mission-ready solutions.

You will work with a federated MITRE structure, collaborating with SOF operators and government experts, while maintaining secure, on-site operations in a highly strategic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 8+ years optional in lieu.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, and transitioning prototype systems for DoD/IC sponsors.
• Experience with AI/ML including traditional ML, DL, and LLM-enabled apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and transition AI/ML capabilities for national security missions.
• Collaborate with DoD/IC sponsors and government stakeholders to improve mission outcomes.
• Lead production-quality software and data analytics solutions across multiple missions.
• Mentor technical teams and communicate risks and impacts clearly.
