Job summary

Strada Education Foundation is seeking an Executive Affairs Intern to support cross-functional work across events management, strategic support, and internal communications in a national nonprofit focused on education and employment. The internship runs May 18, 2027 to August 13, 2027 in Washington, DC, with hybrid work, in-office Tuesdays and additional days for events.

Qualifications

At least one year out of high school and currently enrolled in or accepted into a postsecondary education or training program.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and contribute in a collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Zoom and Slack is a plus.
Self-motivated, able to work independently while being open to feedback.
Passionate about promoting equitable opportunities in education and employment.
Positive attitude with a strong willingness to collaborate, contribute, and enhance the experience of the entire internship cohort.

Responsibilities

Events Management (40%): Support events team in planning external events and liaising with partners.
Strategic Support (40%): Assist the Chief of Staff on targeted initiatives and strategic projects.
Internal Communications (20%): Support internal communications and surface news and progress across teams.
