Job summary

The State of Florida is seeking a Director of Administration in Tallahassee to oversee the Division of Administration, guiding HR, General Services, and Purchasing for the Department of Financial Services, OFR and OIR. The role ensures policy development, internal controls, and cross-divisional coordination to deliver efficient services.

Travel is required and the incumbent will supervise multiple bureaus, report to the CFO, and uphold integrity in daily operations while driving performance

Qualifications

• Knowledge of relevant Florida Statutes and Administrative Procedures.
• Knowledge of organizational and management theory and practice.
• Knowledge of contract management and performance measures.
• Knowledge of technology trends and tools applicable to administrative functions.
• Ability to manage and communicate with Division and upper management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Division operations are efficient and provide superior service.
• Review and update Administrative Policies and communicate across divisions.
• Provide direct supervision to Division chiefs and assistants.
• Keep CFO informed on key management information for decision making.
