Job summary

The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Administration, provides essential administrative infrastructure for the Department, OFR and OIR. The Division oversees HR, General Services and Purchasing, and develops department policies and procedures.

The Division Director leads operations, ensures efficient services, and maintains internal controls, with oversight of staff and cross‑divisional collaboration to support financial governance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Florida Statutes and Administrative Procedures.
• Knowledge of Organizational and Management theory and practice.
• Knowledge of contract management and performance measures.
• Knowledge of technology trends and tools for administrative functions.
• Skill in evaluating technology solutions to improve efficiency.
• Knowledge of internal controls and self-assessment.
• Ability to manage and communicate with divisions and upper management.
• Ability to review and verify information accurately.
• Ability to analyze program information and report trends.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective division operations to provide superior customer service.
• Review and update Administrative Policies and Procedures on intranet.
• Supervise Bureau Chiefs and Administrative staff.
• Keep CFO apprised of areas under authority.
• Lead the division with honesty, integrity and respect.
• Provide timely management information for decision making.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Establish and maintain internal controls across positions.
