Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group seeks a Nursing Leader to oversee Acute Care Services across MercyOne Medical Center and associated campuses. You will drive strategic planning, budgeting, patient care management and ensure compliance with standards while acting as a role model and change agent for improved care and cost reductions.

You will collaborate with senior leadership, physicians, and staff to achieve organizational goals and sustain high-quality outcomes across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a registered nurse for Iowa.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree required.
• PCCN (Adult) or MEDSURG-BC certification required or within 6 months.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 5 years in a large, complex Acute Care hospital at director level or equivalent.
• 3 years of clinical experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and professional demeanor.
• Strong interpersonal, consultative and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, accountability and responsibility for Acute Care Services across MercyOne facilities.
• Develops annual operating and capital budgets, and analyzes performance.
• Maintains open and positive communication with senior leadership, physicians, staff and leaders.
• Assumes responsibility 24/7.
• Implements new care models utilizing digital technology.
