Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks a Strategic Cell Senior Acquisition Management Specialist to lead acquisition efforts for highly classified ACAT-like space control systems. The role requires deep PPBE and Air Force financial management knowledge, plus proven leadership of acquisition and systems engineering teams.

You will advise government program managers, coordinate complex documentation, and ensure program success across ground, near-space, and space environments for DoD customers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and TS/SCI eligibility.
• 20+ years of experience in space programs or related defense acquisitions.
• Expert in acquiring highly classified ACAT-like space control systems.
• Strong knowledge of PPBE process and Air Force financial management.
• Experience leading acquisition and systems engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical advice for projects and programs; support acquisition efforts for advanced technology and integration.
• Review and coordinate performance reports ensuring compliance with Space Systems Command, Space Force, Air Force, and DoD policy.
• Interface with internal/external acquisition organizations; ensure completeness and quality of documents; monitor front office tasks.
• Provide information, advice, and recommendations for aligning portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding.
• Analyze findings, reconcile discrepancies, and advise on resolutions.
• Maintain, update, and analyze acquisition forecast content.
• Incorporate inputs from force design, operational imperatives, and future priorities to deliver actionable recommendations.
• Maintain awareness of programs and technology development; assist integrated product teams.
• Advise Government program manager on high-visibility engagements and interfaces with customers/contractors.
• Draft, review, and process program acquisition information suitable for public release.
