Strategic Accounts Manager, Single Family Builders

As a Strategic Accounts Manager, Single Family Builders for our Therma-Tru, Larson, and Fypon brands, you will drive growth and profit through managing interfaces with key accounts of our National Builders.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing national accounts in building materials, developing business strategies, building relationships with builder accounts, and creating professional high-quality PowerPoint presentations.

Location: This position is eligible for a remote schedule. Candidates must live within the Eastern half of the United States, ideally within driving distance of a major airport.

Travel Requirements: Candidates must be available to travel up to 50%.

What you will be doing:

The following responsibilities represent roughly 80% of your role. As a fast-paced company, tasks may be added or changed.

  • Direct account responsibility for National Builder locations in the eastern half of the United States.
  • Implement National Builder Account strategy and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including national builders, field sales, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate with other National Account Managers and the field sales team to manage strategy implementation at national and local levels.
  • Collaborate with leadership and teams to develop pricing and programs to maintain and grow profitable relationships with National Accounts.
  • Maximize growth and profitability of the National Builder Program.
  • Lead contract negotiations with National Builder Accounts, involving legal, marketing, and senior management support.
  • Develop and communicate account plans for each key customer within the builder segment.
  • Represent Therma-Tru, Fypon, Larson, and Fiberon at regional and national builder associations and conferences.
  • Engage in challenging conversations with customers regarding price improvements or program requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing national accounts in building products.
  • Understanding of market forces affecting builders and the industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience in account management and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of generating and negotiating pull-through programs and managing builder relationships.
  • Proven success in growing sales and achieving results.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as HubSpot.
