Job summary

Northwest Kidney Centers is seeking an Accounting Operations and Financial Systems Manager in Burien, WA. This full-time, on-site role leads monthly and year-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting while owning the Workday financial systems functionality.

The position collaborates with multiple departments to ensure accurate reporting and control integrity. The role requires leadership of General Ledger staff, audit coordination, and implementation of accounting-controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing financial statements and schedules.
• Experience with Workday Financials or similar ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities under the Controller, assign deliverables, and resolve routine issues.
• Coordinate accounting reconciliations; establish standards, timelines, and escalate material discrepancies.
• Review complex journal entries and adjustments; provide guidance on proper accounting treatment.
• Coordinate with AP, Payroll, Finance, Revenue Cycle to support timely close.
• Lead preparation and review of financial statements and analyses for Controller approval.
• Oversee audit coordination and external reporting for IRS Forms and grants.
• Champion accounting controls, procedures, and documentation; improve processes.
