Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced accounting leader in the United States to oversee general ledger, month-end closes, and consolidations across multiple entities. You will partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and Legal to drive control compliance and strategic initiatives.

The role requires 8+ years in progressive accounting, a strong U.S. GAAP background, and leadership experience. In-office with some remote flexibility, offering a competitive base salary and annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, financial reporting, or SEC.
• Experience leading complex month-end close processes.
• Background in multi-entity accounting environments.
• Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, or large-scale system improvements.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Excellent communication and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
• Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions.
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Assist with external reporting, technical accounting research, and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and related controls.
• Implement and advise on accounting process improvements and system optimization initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, and business leaders.
• Support strategic projects, including business integrations, systems implementations, and operational improvement efforts.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members as the organization grows.
