Job summary

Rivertown Dental is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting for a growing multi-location practice. You will own the month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, accounts payable oversight, payroll accounting, and controls to support the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with an operational mindset and has experience improving accounting processes as Rivertown Dental grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including GL, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statements.
• 2+ years in Accounting Manager or leadership role (Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller).
• Experience managing monthly and year-end close processes.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for Rivertown Dental and close calendar.
• Own general ledger classification, support, and reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and schedules.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, liabilities, payroll, and fixed assets monthly.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and disposals.
• Document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Coordinate with external tax professionals, auditors, lenders, and advisors.
• Maintain accounting across locations and entities to support growth.
