First Choice Dental in Fitchburg, WI, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting functions, support reporting across our growing network of dental practices, and turn financial results into meaningful business insight.

This local hybrid role starts onsite for onboarding, with ongoing flexibility to work from home. You will own month-end close, payroll coordination, staff development, and budgeting, while partnering with Operations, HR, and Revenue Cycle teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect financial results to business operations.
• Strong Excel and accounting/ERP system skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, judgment, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, reconciliations, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Review and support payroll processing and related accounting.
• Manage and develop the Staff Accountant.
• Analyze financial results, investigate trends and variances, and communicate meaningful insights to leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Partner with Operations, HR, and Revenue Cycle teams.
• Oversee provider compensation and related reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Support audits, internal controls, and financial integration of acquired practices and new locations.
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate accounting processes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Prior accounting leadership experience.

• Experience with Sage Intacct, acquisitions, budgeting, forecasting, or financial modeling.
