Job summary

Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff, AR seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee the General Ledger and Accounts Payable, ensuring timely financial statement preparation and strict internal controls. You will lead month-end closings, manage reconciliations, assist with budgets, and mentor the GL team, reporting to the CFO/Financial Controller in a dynamic casino environment.

The position requires 5+ years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to obtain a gaming license; on-site

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years direct accounting experience.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area preferred.
• Understanding and experience with GAAP required and GAS.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications; Excel and Outlook required; Word and PowerPoint desired.
• Working knowledge of Infinium or similar general ledger system required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Employment is contingent upon favorable background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
• Manage month-end closings, review reconciliations and analyze trial balances.
• Review GL entries to assure accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with preparing monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Maintain changes and additions to chart of accounts.
• Assist with budget process.
• Provide regular feedback to AP and GL team members.
• Assist in other projects as directed by CFO/Financial Controller.
• Attend training meetings and evaluate staff performance.
• Act as a role model and professional representative of Saracen Casino Resort.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests and colleagues.
