Westlake Services, LLC is seeking a Corporate Accountant to assist the Corporate Accounting Director with managing key areas of the accounting process, including complex consolidations, revenue and expense recognition, and stock-based compensation tasks. The role requires a proactive problem-solver who can handle multiple projects and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel / Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage various areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Prepare and review year-end audit schedules; assist with audits.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statement information to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Research and document proper application of US GAAP to complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations).
• Assist in establishing and implementing internal controls and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize accounting workflows.
• Manage training and motivation of the accounting staff.
