Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger activities and the close process. You will partner with the Senior Accounting Manager to resolve issues, strengthen internal controls, and improve processes across multi‑entity environments.

Candidates should have 6 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and strong knowledge of US GAAP. CPA preferred; experience with NetSuite, Google Workspace, and FloQast is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, including SOX requirements.
• CPA strongly preferred but not required.
• Experience with NetSuite, Google Workspace, and FloQast preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accurate GAAP adherence.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules; document and resolve reconciling items.
• Review account activity, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with business partners to resolve issues.
• Partner with Senior Accounting Manager to set priorities, coordinate deliverables, and communicate risks.
• Provide guidance and review support to accounting team members for high-quality work.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Controllership and cross-functional partners on financial reporting and audits.
• Support M&A integration activities, including aligning accounting processes and transitioning close responsibilities.
