Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee assigned areas of the general ledger and support the close process in a fast-growing healthcare data company.

You will partner with the Senior Accounting Manager to resolve issues, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements across multi-entity environments. CPA preferred but not required; NetSuite, Google Workspace, and FloQast experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6 years of progressive accounting experience with GL and close responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls incl. SOX.
• Experience reviewing deliverables and leading close projects or teams.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, multi-entity environment with evolving priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness per U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review account activity, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with business partners to resolve issues.
• Partner with Senior Accounting Manager to set priorities and communicate risks and needs.
• Provide guidance and review support to accounting team members and promote high-quality work.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, documentation, and internal controls.
