Job summary

Finance Factors, Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, supervise staff, and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role supports the close process, audits, and internal controls while driving process improvements and staff development.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of accounting experience, and 2+ years of leadership. CPA is preferred, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum two years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• CPA designation or active pursuit preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate/advanced Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Directly supervises accounting staff, temporary staff, interns, and contractors.
• Oversees journal entries, reconciliations, and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Assists with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Leads process improvement initiatives and develops internal controls.
