Job summary

CFS in Madison, WI seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities. You will review journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations, ensuring accurate reporting and intercompany accounting.

The role partners with Finance, Tax, HR, and operations to drive process improvements, strengthen controls, and support strategic initiatives. CPA is a plus, with preference for leadership in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• CPA is a huge plus, but not required.
• Strong experience with month-end close, general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across multiple entities.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and general ledger activity.
• Oversee financial statement preparation, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies.
• Coordinate audit support activities and respond to accounting-related requests.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, HR, and operational teams to support key business initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance reporting, and drive accounting efficiencies.
