Job summary

Learfield, Jefferson City, MO, is hiring a Senior Accountant to lead portions of the monthly close, ensure US GAAP compliance, and support external audits for a multi-entity environment. The role collaborates with FP&A and business partners to validate results and drive process improvements.

Strong ERP and reporting-tool experience is required. You will mentor others, help implement system enhancements, and participate in reorganizations and acquisitions as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in large corporate or multi-entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and complex financial structures/transactions.
• Experience managing monthly close cycles in multi-entity, multi-location setups.
• ERP experience, preferably Great Plains, and reporting tools such as Adaptive Insights or Prophix.
• Advanced Excel; proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-department collaboration.
• Big 4 public accounting experience and/or public/private company experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close components: journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis.
• Maintain ledger structures, subledger relationships, and COA alignment.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and prepare disclosures for internal/external use.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide audit support.
• Collaborate with FP&A and business partners to validate results.
• Support system improvements, reporting automation, and process design.
• Assist with reorganizations, acquisitions, and system integrations.
• Mentor team members and promote accounting best practices.
