Job summary

Axon is seeking an experienced Accounting Strategy and Financial Reporting professional to lead research and analysis on M&A, strategic equity and debt investments, and new accounting standards. You will support SEC reporting, earnings disclosures, and related memos while guiding policy development and cross‑functional training.

You will collaborate with Strategy and Corporate Development, presenting findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or similar field.
• CPA designation required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• SOX experience and internal control process knowledge.
• Ability to research technical accounting matters and prepare memos.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate accounting for potential M&A and investments on cross‑functional teams.
• Create and review technical memoranda, policies, and training materials.
• Present issues and recommendations to financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
• Maintain current knowledge of U.S. GAAP topics (M&A, equity, debt instruments, consolidation).
• Lead or contribute to acquisitions and strategic investments projects.
• Assist in integration of acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
• Prepare Forms 8‑K, 10‑Q, 10‑K and disclosures, and benchmarking reports.
• Monitor internal control environment per SOX and advise senior leaders.
