Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Experienced Manager, Strategic Projects within Accounting Advisory Services to manage the full life cycle of assigned engagements, oversee staff, and maintain client relationships. You will collaborate with leadership to address technical accounting issues and develop project plans that ensure timely delivery.

The role requires six or more years in accounting, supervisory experience, and strong GAAP knowledge, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of experience performing general accounting transactions
• Two or more years of supervisory experience
• Experience with outsourced and/or delivery center operations
• Consultative or business advisory experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• GAAP knowledge, financial statement presentation, and report writing

Responsibilities

• Manages the full life cycle of assigned engagements, providing accounting expertise across the finance function
• Performs trial balance reconciliations and records transactions in the general ledger
• Understands client accounting systems and describes major functions
• Leads discovery meetings to identify client objectives and deliverables
• Formulates recommendations on technical accounting issues and financial policies
• Gathers information from the client and maintains strong client relationships
• Travel up to 25% as needed
