Job summary

HydroGraph, a fast-growing materials company in Austin, seeks a qualified Accountant to manage cost accounting, monthly financial statements, and the general ledger. You will code invoices, reconcile vendors, and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will prepare balance sheets, income statements, and P&L, coordinate with vendors and auditors, and help with budgets and custom reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Three to five years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Performs general cost accounting and related duties in the accounting department.
• Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles vendor accounts, and closes the monthly books.
• Works with vendors to resolve issues with invoices and reconciles bank accounts.
• Reconciles bank accounts monthly and addresses bank inquiries.
• Reconciledes customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
• Creates estimates, sales orders and invoices.
• Verifies payment of invoices and charges to correct accounts.
• Verifies receipt of payments and follows up with customers on issues.
• Supports auditors with required documents for annual audit.
• Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software.
• Assists with budgets and prepares monthly custom reports and ad hoc queries.
